1. Agreement to Terms

By purchasing and using ZipBuild products, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not purchase or use our products.

2. What You're Purchasing

When you purchase a ZipBuild scaffold, you receive:

  • An AI-generated scaffold — A starting point for your application including file structure, documentation, and build phases
  • Technical documentation — APP-SPECIFICATION.md, MASTER-PLAN.md, DESIGN-BRIEF.md, and step-by-step build guides (ZIPs)
  • Setup guides — Instructions for configuring Supabase, Stripe, and other integrations

Important: You are NOT purchasing a finished application. The scaffold is a starting point that requires additional development work to create a functional product. The quality and completeness of your final product depends on your implementation.

3. Provided As-Is

ZipBuild scaffolds are generated by AI and provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. While we strive for quality, we do not guarantee:

  • That the scaffold will meet your specific requirements
  • That all generated code will be error-free
  • That the scaffold will work without modification
  • Technical support or debugging assistance

The scaffold includes documentation and troubleshooting guides to help you work through issues independently or with AI assistance.

4. Refund Policy

Starter Kit: 30-day money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied with the starter kit for any reason, contact us within 30 days for a full refund.

Generated Scaffolds: No refunds after generation has been triggered. This is because:

  • AI processing costs are incurred immediately upon generation
  • The generated content is unique to your specifications
  • You receive the deliverable instantly after payment

If scaffold generation fails due to a technical issue on our end, we will either complete your generation manually or provide a full refund.

5. Intellectual Property

You own your scaffold. Upon purchase, you receive full rights to:

  • Use the generated scaffold for any purpose (personal or commercial)
  • Modify, extend, and build upon the generated code
  • Deploy applications built from the scaffold without attribution
  • Use the scaffold for client projects

ZipBuild branding: Generated scaffolds may include references to ZipBuild in comments, documentation headers, or metadata (e.g., "Generated by ZipBuild"). You may remove these if desired.

6. Restrictions

You may NOT:

  • Resell or redistribute the scaffold as a template or starter kit
  • Use automated tools to mass-generate scaffolds for resale
  • Claim to have created the ZipBuild methodology or generation system
  • Use our products to create a competing scaffold generation service

7. Rate Limiting

To ensure fair usage and prevent abuse, we apply rate limits to:

  • Discovery chat sessions (3 new sessions per IP per hour)
  • Messages per discovery session (30 messages maximum)
  • Scaffold generations (5 per IP per hour)

If you encounter rate limits during legitimate use, please wait a few minutes and try again, or contact us if the issue persists.

8. Service Availability

We aim to keep ZipBuild available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may temporarily suspend the service for:

  • Maintenance and updates
  • Security issues
  • Infrastructure problems beyond our control

9. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall ZipBuild be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of our products. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the product.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our products after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
